To celebrate Deloitte’s National Day of Service on June 10, the Detroit Promise team participated in a Deloitte Leadership Lab to dive deeper into Detroit Promise’s strategy, initiatives, and focus areas of today and tomorrow.
During the lab, the team detailed how they each spent time throughout the day and where they would like to spend their time in the future. This allowed leadership to analyze how many projects the team is actively working on and help prioritize projects based on specifications like finances and time. With the ideal projects being the least complicated processes with the highest impacts, identifying all projects begins the shift to an even more productive future for Detroit Promise.
With the help of the Deloitte team, the Detroit Promise team spent the day collaborating on how to streamline current processes. Additionally, the team built structures to incorporate future initiatives in future expansions, such as an adequate evaluation structure for Detroit Promise’s summer planning sessions that prepare the team for the upcoming school year.
“We were so thankful we could participate in the lab as the outcomes will be used by our team to inform our long-term strategy and areas of focus, and we were also able to gain valuable insight into what drives our team members as we work to strengthen our team culture,” said Jade Scott, director of Outreach and Partnerships for Detroit Promise.
