James Martinez is a communications consultant and freelance writer who serves as editor of the Detroit magazine. Prior to launching the content creation consultancy, CraftWord, Martinez served as communications director for Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans and the Detroit Regional Chamber. His previous experiences also include writer for Michigan House of Representatives and reporter at The Oakland Press and Gaylord Herald Times.
