Brown & Brown of Detroit Teammates Support Boys & Girls Club of Detroit

Todd Piersol, Executive Vice President, is proud to announce that Brown & Brown of Detroit teammates raised $1,700 for the Boys & Girls Club of Troy during the office’s first quarter Blue Jean Day fundraiser.

Every Friday, the office’s 65+ employees have the option of wearing blue jeans to work, in exchange for a $5 donation to the non-profit of the quarter. Tricia Godin, Brown & Brown benefits advisor and Boys & Girls Club of Troy board member stated, “It is so gratifying to work for an organization that consistently supports local community non-profits such as the Boys & Girls Club!”

For nearly four decades, the Club has provided a safe and positive place for young people in the tri-county area of metro Detroit. This wonderful organization strives to give local youth a platform which allows them to develop into self-reliant, responsible, contributing members of the community.

For the second quarter of 2017, Brown & Brown of Detroit has chosen to raise money for the Joan Rose Foundation. Since 2010, the Foundation has set out to accomplish a modest goal: to improve the lives of vulnerable Haitian children and their families. Currently, they provide food, education, clothing, medicine, and support to 120 children. The ultimate goal of the Joan Rose Foundation is to break the cycle of poverty that these children and their families are stuck in.

Brown & Brown of Detroit is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown Insurance, the sixth largest insurance intermediary in the United States. Located in Sterling Heights, this office is the largest independent insurance agency in Macomb County.
