Candidate Spotlight: Crawford Fights for Jobs, Will Continue Michigan’s Comeback

Rep. Kathy Crawford (R-Novi) is the incumbent candidate running for re-election in the Michigan House of Representatives’ District 38 in Oakland County. Prior to her work in the state Legislature, Crawford served on the Novi City Council and Oakland County Board of Commissioners. Her husband Hugh is an Oakland County commissioner and former state representative.

Crawford serves on a multitude of volunteer committees and boards in Oakland County, as well as serving as the vice chair of the Local Government Committee in the state House. Crawford also serves on the Education Reform, Regulatory Reform, and Workforce and Talent Development committees.

During her time in the Legislature, Crawford fought to improve Michigan’s business climate through infrastructure, education spending and economic development. She has supported using existing tax dollars from the general fund for road construction and repair.

Crawford fought for the highest funding for K-12 education in state history and has worked to remove burdensome government regulations to encourage job growth and creation in Michigan, helping to create 420,000 jobs in the last four years.
