Checklist: Operational Restart Readiness for the Automotive Supply Chain

May 4, 2020
The automotive industry has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 virus with many OEMs and their suppliers stopping production entirely or significantly reducing their manufacturing operations.

To support the automotive supply chain in preparing for restart of operations, Terry Onica, Director of Automotive for QAD and Cathy Fisher, President of Quistem, LLC have developed a 13-point Operational Restart Readiness checklist. The goal of this checklist is to highlight key operational areas for consideration of risks and planning of actions essential to restarting manufacturing operations at the Tier 1-n supplier level while ensuring customer product quality and delivery requirements are fulfilled.

This Operational Restart Readiness checklist supplements the efforts automotive manufacturers are making to protect their workforce from exposure to the COVID-19 virus while resuming operations across the automotive supply chain.
