This week the Chamber is excited to feature Comcast, who understood the importance of internet connectivity as a vital tool for families to access educational resources for students, important news, and information about their community and the world. To help with this change, Comcast launched Internet Essentials, which is the nation’s largest, most comprehensive internet adoption program for economically disadvantaged households. Internet Essentials is a low-cost, high-speed internet service for $9.95 a month plus tax.

Comcast has donated $50,000 each to the State of Michigan and Detroit Public Schools Foundation to get much-needed devices in the hands of students who have been unable to access online learning to engage in lessons, video streaming with teachers, and other opportunities to further their education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hear from Shannon Dulin, manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs, in the video below on Comcast’s commitment to the community.
