Debbie Dingell

U.S. Representative (D-MI 12)

U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Dearborn, serves Michigan’s 12th Congressional District in the House of Representatives. The district includes parts of Wayne and Washtenaw counties. She previously served as senior executive for public affairs at General Motors Co. and president of the GM Foundation.

An active civic and community leader, Dingell is a recognized national advocate for women and children. She is a founder and past chair of the National Women’s Health Resource Center and the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She also served as past chair of the Michigan Infant Mortality Task Force and was appointed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm to serve on the Early Childhood Investment Corporation and the Cherry Commission on Higher Education and Economic Growth. Dingell is a former Detroit Regional Chamber Board member and is a regular contributor on WDIV-TV 4’s “Flashpoint.”
