FAFSA and Reconnect Fairs

Get assistance with completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submitting a Michigan Reconnect scholarship application from FAFSA specialists, Reconnect Navigators, and local colleges during FAFSA and Reconnect Fairs.

Hosted by the Detroit Regional Chamber, Detroit Promise, and Detroit Reconnect, this event series is available to future and current college students, both traditional and non-traditional. Laptops will be provided for use during each event.

Note: For a limited time only, the Michigan Reconnect scholarship is available for those aged 21-24, lowered from the traditional age requirement of 25+. Individuals who who wish to apply must complete their application by the Nov. 15 deadline and can receive assistance during this event series.

What to Bring

• Social Security Number
• Federal Student Aid ID for the student (and parent, if applicable) 
• 2022 Tax Information
• Information on child support payments
• Current bank account statements
• Investment accounts (if applicable)

Attendees must also know their password for their Federal Student Aid account at studentaid.gov.
