Overview of National Security Innovation Network, Defense Innovation Unit
The National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) is a DoD program office that reports to the Secretary of Defense. It is focused on developing and strengthening partnerships with universities, the venture community, and DoD/Warfighters to expand the national security innovation base.
Join expert Marvin Yates, Regional Engagement Principal for the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) to learn about NSIN’s mission to build networks of innovators that generate new solutions to national security programs through talent, venture, boot-camps, and university capstones. Mr. Yates is known for having his “boots on the ground” for the DoD by connecting with various innovators in the Michigan and Midwest Region.
No fee to attend, but registration is required.
This event is co-hosted with the Michigan Alliance of APEX Accelerators.
The APEX Accelerator provides assistance to businesses in marketing products and services to federal, state, and local government agencies. Schoolcraft College in Livonia has sponsored the local program since 1985 and is the link between the government, prime contractors, and businesses.
The APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense. Additionally, the Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator is funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Schoolcraft College.
