Patricia Breen and Gerald Chiddick appointed to Walsh board of trustees

TROY, Mich., July 8, 2021 – Walsh College president and CEO Michael Levens, Ph.D., has announced the appointment of Patricia Breen, Ph.D., and Gerald Chiddick to the school’s board of trustees.

“We welcome the perspective and expertise Patricia Breen and Gerald Chiddick bring to Walsh’s board of trustees. Their experience in higher education, marketing leadership and product and business development are valuable and we look forward to their contributions as we continue our work to change lives through education,” said Levens.

Patricia A. Breen, Ph.D., has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, most recently serving as president of Pacific Oaks College and Children’s School. She received a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University and also holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas and an MBA from DePaul University. Breen is active in the Council for Graduate Schools and has served as a consultant-evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges and for the WASC Senior College and University Commission.

Gerald Chiddick is the U.S. Middle Market Head of Real Estate, Retail and Hospitality for Zurich North America. Chiddick has served in several leadership roles throughout his career at Zurich including Senior Marketing Officer for Small Business and Vice President of Sales & Distribution for Commercial Markets. He was also vice president of marketing at Amerisure for 13 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and an Executive Education Certificate from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Chiddick also serves as a board member for the National Workers’ Compensation Reinsurance Association (NWCRA) and Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan.
