Roger Curtis

President, Michigan International Speedway

roger_curtisRoger Curtis, president of Michigan International Speedway, is a 25-year veteran of motorsports administration. Since his appointment as the head of MIS in June 2006, Curtis and his team have made significant improvements to the track including: traffic, guest services and other capital investments. The track has invested nearly $75 million in facility improvements.  Under Curtis’ leadership, MIS has expanded beyond NASCAR to become a year-round destination with the addition of sports car and go-karting events, automotive research and development and non-motorsports events.

Prior to coming to MIS, Curtis had served as the vice president of sales and marketing at California Speedway, where he supervised the superspeedway’s advertising and promotions, sales and marketing, public relations and ticketing operations. Before his time at California, Curtis, a native of Terre Haute, Ind., served as the senior director of marketing and sales at Richmond International Raceway. Prior to that, he was the director of marketing and sales at Watkins Glen International.  Involved in motorsports since 1991, he has owned his own motorsports marketing and communications company and has worked with Bobby Allison Motorsports, Bill Davis Racing and NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Bobby Dotter.
