Statement from Detroit Regional Chamber on RTA Ballot Initiative

DETROIT, August 4, 2016 – Today, Detroit Regional Chamber President and CEO Sandy Baruah issued the following statement on the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan’s vote to put a proposal to fund transit on the November ballot.

“The Detroit Regional Chamber applauds our elected regional leaders and RTA board for achieving consensus on regional transit. This is another example of how Southeast Michigan is able to collaborate for regional progress. The Chamber is committed to working towards a ‘yes’ vote in November.”
