Walsh College gifting $500K in scholarships for new students starting in fall semester

TROY, Mich., Aug. 19, 2021 — Walsh College is awarding more than $500,000 in grants and scholarships for newly admitted students who start in the fall semester, which begins Sept. 22, 2021. The Student Assistance Fund and other scholarships and merit awards are available to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students enrolled at least half time. The college will provide students personal assistance through the scholarship application and class registration process.

“Many students have lost educational funding through their employers or are facing new financial hardships. Walsh wants to ensure these students can continue with their plans toward a successful future. We can’t wait to award these funds to our new incoming students,” said Jesús Hernández, vice president and chief enrollment officer.

Walsh recently enhanced its internationally ranked Master of Business Administration (MBA) program to include courses in business law, communication, design thinking and leading diversity, equity and inclusion change in organizations. Other new programs include a Cyber MBA, combining business acumen and cyber risk mitigation, and a dual Master of Accountancy/MBA, which provide students without an undergraduate degree in business the 24 general business credits needed to sit for the CPA exam.

Attendance options for the fall semester include 100% online, on ground, remote synchronous or a combination. The college recently launched state-of-the-art connected classrooms allowing faculty, in-person and remote students to interact seamlessly in real time.
