Walsh launches centennial campaign, honors business leaders at Leadership Awards Dinner

TROY, Mich., Oct. 29, 2021 — Walsh College announced the launch of a three-year, $7.5 million centennial campaign in honor of its founding in 1922 at the Leadership Awards Dinner on Oct. 21. The annual dinner honors business leaders supporting education and benefits student scholarship funds. The centennial campaign focuses on investment in innovative technology for immersive learning, expanding Walsh’s scholarship program to increase access to education and investing in faculty, academic departments and new teaching methods and concepts. Richard and Elaine Pearson are honorary chairs and David and Kathy Petoskey will lead fundraising efforts as campaign chairs.

“As a Walsh alumnus, I am honored to be working with my wife Kathy to lead Walsh’s centennial campaign as we focus on transforming lives and communities through education,” said David Petoskey, founder and president, Wealthcare Management Services and vice chair of the Walsh Board of Trustees.

“Walsh has been a leader in business education since 1922. The centennial campaign allows us to continue that legacy of providing an immersive, engaging education driven by outstanding faculty and innovative technology and teaching methods,” said Michael Levens, Ph.D., Walsh president and CEO. “Our Leadership Awards Dinner is one of the most inspiring nights of the year for the Walsh community, and the perfect setting to kick off the centennial campaign.”
