
Anika Goss
Chief Executive Officer, Detroit Future City
Since taking the helm of DFC, Goss has repositioned the organization to be laser-focused on the equitable implementation of its community and economic development and land use and sustainability departments and launched the Center for Equity, Engagement, and Research.
Before joining DFC, Goss was the Vice President of the Midwest Region for Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) for 16 years. She also worked with the City of Detroit as its Director of Philanthropic Affairs and Executive Director of Next Detroit Neighborhood Initiative.
Goss serves on the board of national and local organizations, including The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program Network for Economic Inclusion, and Michigan Future, Inc.
Goss earned a Master’s in Social Work in community organizing from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s in Sociology and African American Studies from Purdue University.
