Dr. Brent Knight became the sixth president of Lansing Community College in 2008.
Knight’s experience includes presidencies at three other community colleges. His extensive background with various educational institutions, coupled with his experience with an investment firm and a large regional retail chain, brings a unique blend of expertise to Lansing Community College.
For seven years, Knight was an officer and vice president of development at Meijer, Inc.
Knight earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master of arts degree in business, and a doctorate of education before becoming a visiting scholar of strategic planning at the University of Michigan. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of Public Service by Ferris State University in 2012.
