Michelle Oliver is the guiding force behind all things food at the award-winning lifestyle show, Live in the D, airing weekdays at 10 a.m. on WDIV-TV 4, NBC.
Every Friday she features a different local restaurant in her popular Emmy nominated-series, “Dine in the D.” As the show’s resident foodie, Oliver also sends out a biweekly Dine in the D newsletter with great information about the food scene in Metro Detroit. Her role as a multi-media journalist also spans beyond food and showcases how people can enhance their lifestyles. She has been covering the restaurant industry since she started working for Local 4 in 2013. Before working in television, she worked in the restaurant industry doing everything from waitressing to cooking. Oliver is a lifelong Michigander and graduated from Michigan State University’s Honors College.
