Chamber’s Bernard Parker Named Michigan Chronicle 2021 Men of Excellence Honoree

Bernard Parker III, director of government relations for the Chamber, has been named a Michigan Chronicle 2021 Men of Excellence honoree. The Michigan Chronicle is a news, information, and events company that covers the interests of the African American community. The 14th Annual Michigan Chronicle Men of Excellence Awards celebrates local Black men who inspire others through their vision and leadership, incomparable achievements and exceptional participation in community service.

Bernard Parker III works with the City of Detroit as well as Wayne and Oakland counties on behalf of Chamber members. Before joining the Chamber, Parker worked for Wayne County under Executive Warren C. Evens as deputy chief of staff and commission liaison. He then served as the director of commission affairs for Wayne County Commission Chair Alisha Bell. The Chamber congratulates Bernard on this well-deserved honor.
