On Wednesday, Nov. 9, Detroit Future City hosted a webinar to review the Detroit Reinvestment Index 2022, a survey tracking national and local perceptions of Detroit since its historic bankruptcy in 2013. The report revealed that an increasing number of business leaders and entrepreneurs have a favorable view of Detroit as an investment opportunity. During the informing and engaging webinar, Maureen Kraus, president and chief executive officer of Detroit Regional Partnership, Charity Dean, president and chief executive officer of Metro Black Business Alliance, and Wafa Dinaro, executive director of New Economy Initiative, shared details of their organization’s educational and financial programs to support workers and small business owners in Detroit.
