Talentos Latinos Awards Return for Their 8th Anniversary Celebration on Oct. 2, 2026

This year’s event marks not only the eighth anniversary of the Talentos Latinos Awards, but also a second major milestone: the 10th Anniversary of Latinos En Michigan USA, the bilingual media platform that has spent the last decade amplifying Latino voices, stories, businesses, and community initiatives throughout Michigan.

Organized by the Minority Education Freedom Foundation (MEFF) and Latinos En Michigan USA, the Talentos Latinos Awards recognize the dedication, service, leadership, and achievements of Latino entrepreneurs, artists, educators, volunteers, and community leaders who are making a positive impact across the state.

The nomination process is driven by the community, allowing residents throughout Michigan to nominate and support individuals whose work strengthens and enriches the Hispanic community. Honorees from across the state will be recognized during the celebration.

The official event website, TalentosLatinosAwards.com, is now live, where attendees can purchase discounted Early Bird tickets through July 31, 2026, learn about sponsorship opportunities, and access event information.

The event takes place during National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15), a nationwide celebration recognizing the history, culture, and contributions of Americans with roots in Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean.
During this year’s celebration, Latino leaders and changemakers will be recognized for their contributions in areas including:

• Entrepreneurship

• Arts and Culture
• Music and Entertainment
• Community Service
• Volunteerism
• Leadership and Advocacy

Guests will also enjoy live music, folkloric dance performances representing various Latin American countries, cultural presentations, and special guest appearances that showcase the richness and diversity of Latino heritage.

Since its inception in 2019, the Talentos Latinos Awards have become more than a gala. They have evolved into a platform that celebrates achievement, fosters connections, and inspires future generations. The event honors the unsung heroes who open doors of opportunity, build businesses, strengthen families, preserve cultural traditions, and lead initiatives that improve communities across Michigan.

Proceeds from the event support community initiatives led by the Minority Education Freedom Foundation, including:

• Latino Voices in Tech — increasing Latino representation in technology careers
• Prospera — financial literacy and entrepreneurship education programs
• Día de Muertos in Howell, Michigan — cultural preservation and community engagement initiative
• Latinos En Michigan USA — bilingual community media dedicated to informing, connecting, and empowering Latino families throughout Michigan

As the Talentos Latinos Awards celebrate eight years of honoring excellence, and Latinos En Michigan USA commemorates a decade of community storytelling, organizers invite businesses, community leaders, and residents from across Michigan to join this special evening of recognition, culture, and inspiration.
