Tejus Kothari is a Partner at the Boston Consulting Group based in Chicago. He is a core leader within the firm’s Education and Employment and Public Sector Practices and is the global topic lead for higher education. While at BCG, Tejus has worked extensively across the workforce, economic development and education ecosystem. He has supported higher education institutions, state governments, investors, technology companies, foundations, and employers on a range of strategic and operational efforts.
Some of Kothari’s most notable accomplishments in his professional career include leading the development of a multi‑billion-dollar, statewide workforce and economic growth initiative in partnership with a state government and major public university system; designing and advancing innovative talent pipeline programs in collaboration with employers and higher education institutions to address critical labor market needs; and guiding large-scale public and education sector transformations, including setting strategic priorities, building implementation capabilities, and supporting COVID-19 response and recovery efforts across multiple state governments and institutions.
Kothari earned his Masters in City Planning and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Urban Studies and Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
