Jamie Edmonds, Chris Renwick, and Lloyd Jackson spoke with Glenn Stevens Jr., Executive Director of MichAuto, about the Gordie Howe International Bridge. They discussed its importance to Michigan’s economy and the auto industry.
As he highlighted the need for the bridge in the Detroit Region, Stevens Jr. says, “The bridge is probably one of the most consequential infrastructure projects we’ve seen in such a long time. It’s important for trade, with the flow of people, and with security, but it’s also important as a piece of how our countries are stronger together. As we look at ourselves as a trading block, it’s taken decades to evolve to this, and we just can’t have it dismantled. We have to be stronger together.”
