Join fellow Southeast Michigan entrepreneurs at NEI & City Institute’s Small Business Social Hour on March 26 at Vesey Lane Goods on Kercheval.
The Small Business Social Hour is a free monthly networking series that connects Southeast Michigan small business owners, founders, and ecosystem supporters, co-hosted by the New Economy Initiative and City Institute at rotating neighborhood businesses across the region. The next Small Business Social Hour is on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 4–7 p.m. at Vesey Lane Goods (9920 Kercheval Ave, Detroit), featuring businesses from The Villages.
Food and refreshments from neighborhood businesses provided, including Sister Pie, La Fonda, Cairo Coffee, Empacho and Huddle.
The Small Business Social Hour aims to:
- Brings small business owners, entrepreneurs, and support organizations together to “mix, mingle and move their businesses forward.”
- Highlight a different corridor or neighborhood business each month (e.g., Detroit Pizza Bar, Next Chapter Books, Jo’s Gallery Café, Vesey Lane Goods).
- Provide light programming (typically 5 p.m.–6 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. –6:30 p.m.) plus open networking, with food and refreshments from local businesses.
Jefferson East, Inc. is the collaborating organization for the event. During the program, people are invited to introduce themselves and their business, along with hearing from the vendors and business support organizations that are present.
