Brittany Lavis is the Group Chief Executive Officer for the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), providing strategic leadership to ensure the health system remains responsive to the needs of the diverse communities it serves.
Before assuming this role, she served as the Group Chief Financial Officer for the DMC, ensuring strong fiscal leadership across the organization, the DMC Graduate Medical Education program, the DMC University Lab, and the DMC Health Access Center.
Lavis is a member of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees and the Detroit Regional Chamber Board of Directors.
Lavis has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review’s 150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know and 100 Academic Medical Center CFOs to Know. She was also selected as a Modern Healthcare 2018 Up and Comers and recipient of Tenet’s Circle of Excellence and Audi awards for excellent achievement in full-scope audit results.
Lavis earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University.
