Entrepreneurs Access Network 2022 Cohort Application Opens, Deadline Sept. 17August 24, 2021
EAN is a free educational program that was developed in 2020 to address the financial barriers presented to Black- and Latino-owned businesses during the pandemic.
According to EY’s website, “During the first few months of the 2020 pandemic, there was a decline in Black (41%) and Latino (32%) owned companies compared to non-minority (17%) entrepreneurs. If race, networks, and funding barriers for Black and Latino entrepreneurs were equal to non-minority founders, all communities would benefit.”
EY designed the program for busy executives, so the program is spread over 12 months. It will include assessments, 1:1 coaching, curriculum customized based on individual participants’ needs, access to online tools, networking events, and promotional exposure. EY will also assign one of their executives to each program participant to help provide access to resources, capital, network opportunities, and other growth drivers for their company.
To apply for EAN, applicants must be Black or Latino business owners who are founders and majority owners of any privately held, for-profit company in the U.S. Their business must be more than two years old.
Applications for the 2022 EAN cohort close Sept. 17. Nominations will be reviewed by an EAN selection committee and selected companies will be notified on a rolling basis, beginning November 2021. Apply online.
