Surviving an Employee Retention Credit Audit by the IRS
April 25 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, businesses have applied for and received billions of refunds related to Employee Retention Credits (ERC). As the ERC program enters its fifth year, there is plenty of uncharted territory for businesses.
How will the IRS and Congress address the large number of claims that have already been filed? When will the government wind down the program? What will the IRS do to address unscrupulous third-party promoters in the ERC space? And most concerning, could your business be audited?
The answer to these questions will depend, in large part, on how the IRS approaches the next 12 months. Tax law attorney Joe Peterson will review with webinar attendees the ERC program, discuss where it stands today, and address what business leaders can expect from the IRS in 2024.
There is still time to review your ERC application and take corrective steps, if necessary. We hope you can join us!
