The Going PRO Talent Fund (GPTF) makes awards to employers to assist in training, developing, and retaining current and newly hired employees. Last year, the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) assisted 46 companies in the region to secure $3,539,827 in GPTF award funding, helping to train 1,824 employees.
In previous years, employers had one opportunity each fiscal year to apply and receive a GPTF award. Now, in 2023, employers can now apply again in Cycle 2 if they did not receive an award in the past.
The online application for Cycle 2 is scheduled to open May 1-24. Cycle 2 awarded training may occur July 17, 2023 – July 16, 2024.
