On April 27, MICHauto hosted more than 50 automotive and mobility stakeholders from across Southeast Michigan for a meeting of the Detroit Mobility Solutions Coalition to discuss what is going on in Detroit and areas for collaboration and innovation.

Since its conception last year, the Coalition continues to grow and creates collaborative opportunities between industry stakeholders to advance technology solutions.

Guest speakers at the April event included Devon O’Reilly, manager of entrepreneurship and Detroit engagement for the Detroit Regional Chamber; Kathryn Snorrason, business development manager for the Michigan Economic Development Corp.; Glenn Stevens, executive director of MICHauto; Vittoria Valenti, manager of public spaces for Quicken Loans; and Mark de la Vergne, chief of mobility innovation for the city of Detroit.

Khalil Rahal, assistant county executive for Wayne County, and Matt Webb, chief operating officer for the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan, also discussed the “Connect Southeast Michigan” proposed regional transit plan.

Attendees included automotive OEMs and suppliers, startups, educational institutes, public organizations and community groups.
