Sterling Corporation Expands Michigan’s Leading Public Affairs Team With Paul Cordes

February 7, 2018
Sterling Corporation, Michigan’s premier public affairs, political, and fundraising consulting firm announced today the addition of Paul Cordes as director.

In this role, Cordes will work with Sterling’s political and campaign teams to develop and execute winning strategies for the firm’s political and issue management clients. Cordes will also work with Sterling’s parent company, Lambert, Edwards & Associates, on corporate public affairs projects for its national client base.

Prior to joining Sterling, Cordes served as the political practice director at Adtegrity, a publicly traded digital advertising and full-service media placement firm, specifically focusing on political digital strategy. He worked closely with federal, state and local candidates, party committees, and caucuses to craft hard-hitting and successful digital campaigns. Before working at Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Adtegrity, Cordes served as the executive director for the Kent County GOP, leading one of the largest and most respected county parties in the nation through two winning election cycles. He has worked campaigns at all levels dating back to 2004.

“We are excited about the addition of Paul Cordes to the Sterling Team, and the benefit that his experience and talents will bring to our clients,” said Managing Partner Mark Pischea. “Sterling has long been recognized as Michigan’s pre-eminent GOP consulting firm, and bringing Paul onto the team will help ensure Sterling will be helping to support conservatives causes and Republican candidates for many elections to come.”

Cordes holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Cordes resides in Grand Rapids where he volunteers at both Holy Spirit Catholic Church as a catechist and Sparta High School as an assistant baseball coach.
