Venmo has announced a $20,000 small business grant opportunity designed to help small business owners achieve their dreams and overcome financial barriers. Multiple small businesses will be awarded these funds to expand services, invest in marketing, hire new employees, or upgrade technology. Winners for the Venmo Small Business grants will also receive mentorship from industry leaders and promotion on Venmo’s social media channels.
Who Can Apply?
The Venmo Small Business Grant is open to businesses with less than $50,000 in annual revenue and 10 or fewer employees. To qualify, businesses must also have a valid and complete U.S. Venmo business account and must have sold at least $500 worth of goods or services in the past three months.
How to Apply
To apply, ensure your Venmo business profile is complete with a business description, profile photo, and background photo. Then, submit your application by May 31, 2024.
Applications will be judged based on:
- The inspiration, innovation, and originality of your business story (30%).
- Your passion for your business and concrete plans for the future (30%).
- Demonstrated benefits of using a Venmo business profile (20%).
- The impact of being a member of a historically underrepresented community, if applicable (20%).
