Serving as Senior Vice-President of operations for CGI’s U.S. Great Lakes business unit, Bernie Mongilio leads CGI’s Commercial and State and Local Government business in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Mongilio has over 35 years of diversified consulting and IT experience, 31 of which have been at CGI in a number of roles. Under Mongilio’s leadership, CGI teams support the business transformation initiatives of CGI clients by delivering practical innovation on both the “run” and “grow” sides of their agendas. On the run side, CGI drives efficiency improvements by leveraging proven expertise, intelligent automation, and industrialized processes across industries. On the “grow” side, CGI brings innovation in areas such as customer experience and digital engagement, IOT, blockchain/distributed ledger technology, and artificial intelligence and analytics.
Bernie also leads CGI’s Banking practice in the U.S., driving the go-to-market strategy for banking across all of CGI’s U.S. geographic business units. For the past 14 years, Mongilio has served as the account executive for CGI’s largest U.S. banking client. He also leads the CGI’s U.S. financial markets infrastructure activities and serves CGI’s representative to the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) General Assembly.
