Nilda Thomas Appointed Director of Membership for the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

November 7, 2013 – BEVERLY HILLS, MI – The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) today announced the appointment of Nilda Thomas, as Director of Membership. Thomas brings over 20 years of fortune 500 corporate experience in marketing technology solutions. Her experience in corporate marketing is significantly shaped with some of the most influential technology and consulting companies in America where she held senior level marketing positions. As the Senior Field Marketing Specialist at Microsoft, Thomas was instrumental in the launch of Microsoft’s Automotive vertical. Formerly with Deloitte, Microsoft, and AT&T, Thomas is an expert in sales and in building relations with C-Level executives. Her broad business and marketing background includes online marketing with an emphasis in strategy, analytics, and social media monitoring applications. She has implemented digital and tradition marketing strategies, solution sales, lead generation, and CRM strategies supporting the Automotive, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Healthcare, e-Commerce, Software, and Telecommunications vertical markets.

Thomas has a rich diverse multi-cultural heritage of Cuban, African American and Chinese, and is also an entrepreneur. She has been featured in magazines, including in the Hispanic Women section of Hispanic Business. Her new responsibilities at the chamber will include leading the corporate and member recruitment and retention strategies, programs for our members, membership marketing collateral, new member orientation and member events. Additionally, she will enhance the MHCC CADENAS programs and activities and serve as the staff liaison on the committees. “Thomas is a seasoned professional with a very accomplished and diverse background in corporate and small business, her scope of work and passion for the Hispanic community are the right combination of talent for her to succeed at the Chamber,” says Camilo Suero, Executive Director at the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “I’m looking forward to working with Ms. Thomas at the Chamber.”
